Not only will the day feature games, the Guerreros also have a wide array of activities prior to and during the matchup. Bubble Soccer, Velcro soccer, Face paint, Cornhole and other activities will be available to all those in attendance. Last but not least, the day will feature a dunk tank. The dunk tank will offer you the chance to dunk some of your favorite Guerreros players and coaches as well as multiple special guests, so be sure to give it your best shot and let’s see some of the Guerreros drenched!

The opponents will feature players such as Walter Jimenez, Ariel Gonzalez, Jorge Collazo, Jaime Correa “El Alacrán”, Juanito Hernandez “Cheche”, Sergio Torres “Monkiki”, Woody Sánchez, Negro Sandoval, and Carlos Ferreira. All of these players have featured at professional levels in Mexico and many other leagues in South America.

Juan Hernandez headlines the group as the now retired footballer amassed thirty six international caps with the Mexican National team and even added two goals to his name. The defender hailing from Mexico City was a mainstay in the Club America first team from 1988-1996 collecting 236 appearances and eleven goals. Hernandez also played for Atlante and Monterrey during his career.

We have to travel a bit further south for this footballer as the Argentinian born Ariel Gonzalez joins the long list of players taking the pitch on the 17th of November. Gonzales was a clinical finisher, as the center forward managed to score over 150 goals in his time as a professional. His best years being in between 2004 and 2006 where he scored fifty goals in 81 appearances for San Luis. Everywhere this man stepped on the pitch he guaranteed goals and we will see what he can do against a stout Guerreros backline.

Negro Sandoval will be the second Mexican international and will join Hernandez on the pitch this coming November. Sandoval saw most of his success while dawning green and white of Jaguares, where he had thirty two appearances and seven goals early on in his professional career. Sandoval last played for Atlas in Liga Mx where he played twenty one times and managed to notch one goal for the club.

Jaime Correa, or “El Alacrán”, is a former defensive midfielder who spent most of his career at one of the most successful clubs in recent history in Mexico, Pachuca. He saw the pitch an astounding 327 times and scored 6 goals, while being mostly known for his crunching tackles and ability to run nonstop for an entire match. Correa appeared 10 times for “El Tri” and was even a part of the 2007 Copa América squad that was able to finish third in the competition.

Sergio Torres, also known as “Monkiki”, battled his way through non-league in England, but impressed along the way and earned his shot at the professional level. Wycombe Wanderers was his first stop and from there he earned over 200 appearances at the League 2 level in England and has yet to call it a career as he still plies his trade in England playing for Eastborurne Borough FC.

The remaining players are nothing to snuff at either as they played over 300 games professionally and will bring their expertise to the pitch against the Guerreros.

The event will also feature a live performance by Los Nuevos Activos as well as Radio Lazer out of your very own Oxnard, California, so be ready to have a good time and hear some great music while rooting for your home town team. Be sure to visit the Oxnard Guerreros Tickets page and order yours while they are available at a presale discount! We look forward to seeing you there. ¡Somos Guerreros!
